Elsternwick Park Sports Club Mission.

Our Mission for 2009/2010 season is to compete, enjoy, and be part of a club where everyone is welcome.

King Henry VIII once banned lawn bowling for all but the wealthiest. The reason he gave was that people were spending so much time at it that they were neglecting their jobs. Happily for today's enthusiasts the ban was lifted in 1845, so we can all enjoy this leisurely outdoor sport.
